On tonight's show, John Cena locked horns with Dominik Mysterio in a rematch for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The Cenation Leader started the match strong and took control of the bout for the most part. At one point in the match, Dirty Dom seemingly got injured, which forced the referee to stop the bout for a moment and call out the medical team to check on him.

However, while the referee was distracted, Dom's Judgment Day teammates, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, went inside the ring to attack The Cenation Leader. After this assault, Dominik immediately stood up to hit his opponent with the 619. As he went in for the pin, the referee refused to count and called out the AAA Mega Champion for faking an injury.

John Cena once again took control of the match for a few minutes before Finn Balor and JD McDonagh showed up to assault the GOAT while the referee was knocked out. Despite these interferences, Cena didn't give up. However, things completely changed when Liv Morgan made her shocking return. At first, Morgan made it seem like she was turning on Dirty Dom, but later hit Cena with the low blow and the title, helping her on-screen boyfriend emerge victorious.
