Legends like Ric Flair, Mick Foley, Hulk Hogan, and many more have stepped out of retirement or joined a different promotion for an extended run as in-ring performers.However, John Cena vowed to remain retired from in-ring competition leading up to December 2025, and The Franchise Player has no intention to break his promise and return to the ring. Luckily, it doesn't mean he's done with the Stamford-based promotion.The Franchise Player has signed a new deal with the company and will make appearances backstage and outside the promotion based on the company's needs.
