IYO and Stephanie Vaquer recently squared off in an intense match at Wrestlepalooza for the then-vacant Women's World Championship. After a great back-and-forth, La Primera pinned The Genius of The Sky to win her first title on the main roster. IYO congratulated her after the match in a lovely gesture of respect between the two women.

After the announcement of her match against Mayu Iwatani was made by Marigold on X, the promotion shared a clip of IYO SKY addressing her upcoming match in Japan.

Asuka reacts after betraying IYO SKY on WWE RAW

WWE had been teasing tension between The Kabuki Warriors and The Genius of The Sky for a very long time. It eventually came to a head on this week's RAW, as Asuka and Kairi Sane turned heel. They first attacked Rhea Ripley, and when IYO came to make peace, they attacked her as well.

This left a lot of fans in shock. IYO and Rhea were left covered in Asuka's mist as the show went off the air. Following the events of Monday night, The Empress of Tomorrow took to X to respond to a post made by WWE's official account. The post claimed that Asuka was wrong for what she did on RAW. However, the former Women's World Champion thought otherwise.

"Nah," she wrote.
