On the latest episode of Writing with Russo, host Dr. Chris Featherstone and Vince Russo discussed the 54-year-old legend, Chris Jericho. According to a few reports, Chris Jericho is WWE-bound after over six years with AEW, and Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley wants to see him feud with LA Knight for a year.

Vince Russo believes that Chris Jericho will return for a non-wrestling role and said he would be shocked to see him return to feud with Knight. He even said he would be surprised to see Jericho doing anything physical:

"Chris Jericho, the entertainer, is timeless. He can go on forever without a shadow of a doubt. But you're going to put a 55-year-old Chris Jericho in the ring with LA Knight. What is LA Knight? 43 years old? You're going to put a 55-year-old in there with a 43-year-old? No way. I swear, knowing Chris, because Chris cares about his brand and reinventing himself, which he's done for years...I'd be shocked if Chris went to WWE and did anything physical."

Wrestling legend Dutch Mantell pitched an alternative plan for LA Knight & Chris Jericho

While the aforementioned discourse by Vince Russo was directed towards a possible match between Y2J and the Megastar, another veteran had an idea that was far more interesting.

On an episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the legendary wrestling manager pitched the idea of Knight and Jericho becoming a duo:

"I think Jericho and LA Knight, I think they'd be a good team together. And then, you know, they're both like smartasses with each other, especially Knight. I think they could really build something out of this I'd be interested in. Both those guys are good, so when you have an idea, you know, give it to those guys and let them. I think they would have great chemistry together, and I think they could have a good little run out of that. I'd be interested in it," Mantell said.

One thing is for certain - the partnership would likely be fireworks and a fresh approach to WWE during a time that many fans consider creatively stagnant. Whatever happens, Jericho is almost guaranteed to get a warm embrace if or when he returns.

It has been well over half a decade since Jericho joined AEW, and he was one of the big names advertised for Tony Khan's promotion, along with the likes of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, and Adam "Hangman" Page.
