One of the most popular names in all of wrestling seems to be all but confirmed to be joining WWE following recent comments by a commentator. In a recent edition of his podcast, TNA broadcaster Aiden English has quietly confirmed that his colleague Joe Hendry's signing with the global juggernaut is just a matter of time.

Hendry has been making appearances on NXT's programming for quite a few months now. The former TNA World Champion's most high-profile showing in the company was at WrestleMania 41, where he came out to face Randy Orton. Despite losing in mere minutes, Joe Hendry made an immediate impression and looked destined to officially join the promotion down the line.

Hendry's TNA colleague, Aiden English, now known by his real name Matt Rehwoldt, has confirmed that the former is on his way to WWE. Speaking on his REBOOKED podcast, English added that while Hendry's future with the global juggernaut is locked, he has no idea when the official switch will happen.

"I mean, it’s no secret, clearly, Joe is headed to WWE NXT. I don’t know when that official switch will happen from a paperwork standpoint, but it’s clear that’s the direction," said English. (H/T - TJRWrestling)

Joe Hendry was overjoyed to face Randy Orton in WWE

Earlier this year, in an exclusive chat with Sportskeeda, Joe Hendry had nothing but kind words for Randy Orton for letting him have his moment at WrestleMania 41. Hendry added that while he was disappointed to not have secured the win, he was proud of representing TNA at a stage like Mania in front of a packed crowd.

"It was unbelievable to be involved in Randy Orton's 20th WrestleMania, an absolute legend in the business, awesome to work with. And yeah, I was very fortunate to be in that position, I was thankful to Randy, to TNA, and WWE for all collaborating and allowing that to happen. And yeah, it wasn't the result I wanted but we got the TNA World Championship in front of the crowd at WrestleMania which was an unprecendented situation."

Going by just how much Hendry has already endeared himself to fans, there's no doubt he could quickly carve a niche for himself in the company. Reports have suggested that he could be fully integrated into NXT by early 2026.
