INJURY UPDATE: Charlotte Flair on knee surgery, WWE hiatus, and her "next hurdle" 

WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair recently gave a major update on her knee health. She also talked about her next hurdle in the Stamford-based promotion.

Charlotte Flair suffered a major setback in December 2023 during her match against Asuka on WWE SmackDown, where she tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. The Queen required surgery and was out of in-ring competition for over a year. She made her explosive return in 2025, winning the Women's Royal Rumble Match. Flair also contributed to the tag team division this year as she enjoyed an impressive WWE Women's Tag Team Championship reign alongside Alexa Bliss.

During her recent interview with Men's Health, Charlotte Flair talked about her recovery from her knee surgery and her hiatus from the Stamford-based promotion. The Queen revealed that she is still wrestling with her knee brace and has had it "crystallised" by her stylist to match it with her gear.

The 14-time World Champion also mentioned that she didn't know for sure if she still needed to wear the knee brace while wrestling. She added that she would try to perform without it inside the squared circle, calling it her "next hurdle."

"The only thing is, I still am in my [knee] brace. I don’t even know if I’m still in that time period. I know we are required to wear, oh my gosh, I’m going to forget the name, the Don Joy. I hope I’m saying that right. Mine’s bedazzled, so it doesn’t matter. Mine is crystal. My stylist crystallised it for me because we’re like, 'Oh, this knee brace is ugly. It doesn’t go with my outfit.' Do I need to be in it? I don’t know. So that I think is my next, my next hurdle," she said.

Charlotte Flair's team won at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2025

In this year's WWE Women's Survivor Series: WarGames Match, Charlotte Flair teamed up with Rhea Ripley, Alexa Bliss, IYO SKY, and AJ Lee to lock horns with Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Lash Legend.

All of the stars involved in the bout put on an incredible display of action inside the ring. In the last stages of the match, Lee locked the Black Widow on Big Time Becks, forcing the latter to tap out and win the match for her team.

WWE has been planting seeds for a possible feud between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair. It will be interesting to see if the two will face each other in the future.
