Matt Hardy is one of the most decorated tag team wrestlers of all time and has most prominently teamed up with his real-life brother, Jeff Hardy. Together, the Hardy Boyz have won titles in almost every promotion they have ever appeared in, and currently hold the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
In a recent episode of his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the former WWE Superstar was asked who he would have liked to team up with apart from his brother. After a moment of thought, Hardy revealed that he would have liked to team with current AEW star Christian Cage, someone he knows all too well:
"I actually would have liked to have teamed with Christian for a while. I would have liked to have seen the team of Matt Hardy and Christian have have a a good solid run for a bit... Vince had already chosen Edge, he'd chosen Jeff, that was [sic] going to be his singles guys. He liked both of us, too. He liked, you know, Matt and Christian as well. But, you know, every so often, you know, Jay [Christian] would say, 'Yeah, the shadow's going to sneak up and get their a**,' you know, because he would see us as the secondary guys.' That would have been that would have been fun to do."

Matt Hardy claims Hall of Fame induction is "inevitable"
The Hardy Boyz are currently active in TNA and also make appearances on NXT due to the partnership between the two companies. They recently faced the Dudley Boyz in what was their retirement match. In a recent conversation with Jon Alba, Hardy acknowledged that a Hall of Fame induction for himself and Jeff Hardy was inevitable:
"I would also wrap it up as, what do I think about the WWE Hall of Fame induction for the Hardy Boyz? As Thanos would say, it is inevitable."
It remains to be seen how the Hardy Boyz' incredible career winds down in the coming years.
