Saturday Night's Main Event may have revolved around John Cena, but for the GOAT, it was not the end, but the beginning. Using it as a platform for young stars from NXT, an up-and-comer pulled off a huge upset over a Grand Slam Champion and ex-Royal Rumble winner. There were only three other matches apart from John Cena's at Saturday Night's Main Event. In the first match, Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes went to war in an instant classic, only for the match to be controversially ended, courtesy of a Drew McIntyre interference. Following this, Femi and Rhodes took McIntyre out and earned each other's respect. The third match of the night saw AJ Styles and Dragon Lee face the impressive young duo of Je'Von Evans and TNA's Leon Slater in an exhibition match. However, one of the more slept-on matches on the card was the women's bout, with Grand Slam Champion Bayley facing the highly acclaimed Sol Ruca.In a fast-paced and intense match, the young Sol Ruca would pull off a massive upset by beating the future WWE Hall of Famer Bayley at Saturday Night's Main Event. It was a huge moment for Ruca, and Bayley was graceful in defeat, with all the women (including Zaria and Lyra Valkyria) paying tribute to John Cena in the end.Regardless of everything else that would happen on the show, this was undeniably the biggest upset of the night. While Ruca has been touted as a future main eventer by many who have seen her in NXT, few would have expected her to pull off the win over such an established name like Bayley.Props to The Role Model for having an eye for the future and paying it forward, which is more of a John Cena thing to do than anything else she could have done.
