John Cena's retirement tour wasn't always smooth sailing since it had some bumps in the road. One of those bumps was a match being changed, according to a current WWE star.

Cena teamed up with Logan Paul at Money in the Bank to face Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso in a tag team match. R-Truth made his shocking return during the match and attacked Cena, helping Rhodes and "Main Event" Jey earn the win.

On a recent episode of Impaulsive, "Maverick" revealed that Travis Scott was supposed to team up with him and another WWE star in a six-man tag team match.

"I was very excited, obviously, for him to enter the WWE, and we were supposed to team up with one other person. It was supposed to be three-on-three, and the day that it was supposed to be announced, he didn’t show up," Paul said. [H/T ITR Wrestling]

John Cena comments on Travis Scott and The Rock's absence after his heel turn

One of the biggest gripes of the WWE Universe during John Cena's farewell tour was the absence of The Rock and Travis Scott for the majority of his heel run. The Rock never appeared after Elimination Chamber: Toronto, while Scott helped Cena win at WrestleMania 41.

Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Cena was finally asked about what the supposed plan for his heel run was.

"Who cares? It doesn’t matter. We can talk about what could have been until the cows come home. And I think that’s what’s great about the people who are left standing. Certainly me and Cody. What’s the change? this? All right, let’s go. I don’t dwell for one second on what could have been," Cena said. [H/T Sports Illustrated]

Cena is officially retiring on December 13 at Saturday Night's Main Event. He will be facing Gunther in his final match.
