Gunther shares a three-word message after John Cena Sr. claims that he doesn't want him to face his son

Gunther shared a three-word message after his latest win on WWE RAW and is nearing one step closer to facing John Cena. He was victorious over Solo Sikoa in the semi-final of The Last Time Is Now Tournament.

Gunther is one win away from setting up a huge clash against Cena in his final match. However, Cena's father, John Cena Sr, is against the idea of his son facing The Ring General in his final match. He believes that Cena has already passed the torch to Cody Rhodes and has given the rub to Dominik Mysterio.

On Instagram, Gunther shared a three-word message after beating Sikoa in an instant classic. He will face LA Knight in the final of The Last Time Is Now Tournament, with the winner facing Cena on December 13th at Saturday Night's Main Event.

"Next Stage Ahead," wrote Gunther.

John Cena Sr. doesn't think his son should face Gunther in his final match

John Cena Sr. was against the idea of his son facing Gunther on December 13th in his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Speaking on the All Axxess Podcast, Cena Sr. made a huge claim, suggesting that his son has already passed the torch to Cody Rhodes. Cena lost to Rhodes in their rematch, which occurred at SummerSlam, as The American Nightmare regained the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cena said:

"If we have to use that as an analogy, then he’s already done that with Cody Rhodes. He beat him for the title. He gave the title back. They embraced, Cody was teary-eyed. The torch was passed. I think he’s given the rub along the way, especially with Dominik Mysterio. That was a tremendous deal."

Cena has shared the ring with multiple top names throughout his retirement tour. His final match at a WWE Premium Live Event was against Dominik Mysterio, who dethroned The Last Real Champion.
