While pro wrestling might not feature among her upcoming projects, the 32-year-old has not stayed away from the limelight. Sonya took to social media to announce her next venture, namely a movie titled Zombois. The zombie-genre movie is planned to enter production later this month and is reportedly a horror-comedy.

The feature will reportedly focus on a group of college seniors on break in the North Georgia Mountains who discover a guarded secret and a contagion that turns their getaway into a brutal battle for survival.

Writer-director Garrett Abdo gave a hint of what to expect in the upcoming feature when he said the following to Deadline:

"My last film, Exit Interviews, was deeply dramatic emotional therapy so I wanted to follow it up with something totally on the opposite end of the spectrum - something fun and outrageous, so gay zombies felt like it fit the mold."

Writer Watkins added to this, saying:

"Sexy, scary, and laugh-out-loud funny, Zombois is going to be one hell of a ride. I can’t wait to be a part of it."

Sonya Deville's latest announcement has only increased fans' expectations for the former WWE Superstar, and the excitement over the movie will increase as more news breaks.

The former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion was part of the Stamford-based company for almost a decade and played a big role on the main roster on WWE RAW, where she was part of the faction Pure Fusion Collective, along with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.

A report based on Fightful Select's Select Answers from earlier this year noted that Sonya Deville was 'effectively retired,' but had also claimed 'never say never.'

While the WWE Universe waits for Deville's next move, many would like to see the star back in action inside the ring, too.
