Over the years, Cena has also earned the respect of his peers in the industry. But there have been occasions where he has been blamed for using his star power to get his way during his stint in WWE.

One such infamous incident is the 2010 Nexus storyline, where the Last Real Champion was accused of changing the original finish. The former Nexus member David Otunga recently levied another accusation at the 17-time WWE World Champion.

"Always. Are you kidding me? Yeah, of course," Otunga said.

Moreover, he blamed the WWE icon for the Nexus documentary never being released, saying that he had a lot of pull there.

"Hey, why do you think they never brought the Nexus back? Why do you think they never released the Nexus documentary? John Cena does have a lot of pull there," he added.

Previously, during an appearance on TMZ Sports' Inside the Ring, Otunga said that Nexus was supposed to win the SummerSlam tag team match until Cena changed the finish of the match.

After the infamous SummerSlam match, John Cena lost to Wade Barrett at Hell in a Cell. This meant he had to join Nexus as part of the pre-match stipulation.

At the next pay-per-view, The Champ teamed up with Otunga to beat Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre to win the WWE Tag Team championship.

However, the reign lasted only one day after Barrett ordered Otunga to allow fellow Nexus member Heath Slater to pin him, giving him and Justin Gabriel the win.

During the Muscle Memory podcast, Otunga said his title win with the G.O.A.T. was special, but he wasn't joyous, as he knew he was still green and hadn't earned it. He mentioned that his second Tag Team title win with Michael McGillicutty was more satisfying.
