A former WWE star has hilariously accused the company of trying to take Braun Strowman's spot. Strowman's time with the promotion came to an end earlier this year.

The promotion elected not to renew Baron Corbin's contract last year, and he has remained active on the independent wrestling scene. Strowman was released by the company earlier this year, but his reality TV show, Everything On The Menu, still airs after SmackDown on the USA Network.

It was reported earlier today that the promotion would be making SmackDown three hours again beginning in January 2026. Corbin took to social media and humorously suggested that the promotion was adding an hour to SmackDown to ensure that they get the time slot for Strowman's show. The ratings for Everything On The Menu have been impressive so far following SmackDown.

Braun Strowman teamed up with LA Knight to defeat Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa on the April 8 edition of WWE SmackDown in his final match with the company. Knight is scheduled to battle a mystery star tonight on the blue brand in the "Last Time is Now" tournament to determine John Cena's final opponent at Saturday Night's Main Event next month.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed Strowman attempting to play Jason Voorhees and noted that it was great to see wrestlers finding success elsewhere.

"I like it. I mean, I hope it happens for him. That's a huge opportunity for him. And the other thing too, man, these other guys got to realize that hey, that's good. Because if wrestling ain't working for you, then you got something else, you got a backup. So anytime he can get an opportunity like that, to get a movie deal, you know, right now in his early career, I am happy for him, man. Take it, player."
