Ex-WWE star Paige sends a two-word reply to AJ Lee

Former WWE star Paige shared her response to AJ Lee's recent remarks about the bond they share with each other. After feuding over the WWE Divas Championship for some time, the two stars wrestled as a tag team before the Geek Goddess' departure from the wrestling promotion.

USA Network's Instagram account recently posted an update on the 11-year anniversary of the last singles match between the two stars. Earlier today, AJ Lee won the bout to retain the WWE Divas Championship at Hell in a Cell 2014. Lee shared the post on Instagram stories with a short message, noting that they will forever be frenemies.

The Anti-Diva took to Instagram stories to share her response. She also noted that they will always share the same bond.

"For Life🥺🫶🖤," she wrote.

AJ Lee has been absent from WWE programming since her first match in over a decade. She joined forces with her husband, CM Punk, to wrestle on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a mixed tag team match at Wrestlepalooza. Lee made The Man tap out to the Black Widow submission hold to secure the win.

While fans eagerly await AJ Lee to show up again, there has also been speculation about Paige making her return to the Stamford-based promotion after she departed from AEW earlier this year in March.

Wrestling veteran believes Paige will make her WWE return soon

Amid speculations of Paige's WWE return, wrestling veteran Vince Russo opined that she would be the next big star to make her return to the wrestling promotion.

The former WWE head writer made the claim while speaking on an episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW following AJ Lee's return. Russo joked that he wondered if Triple H had a separate bank account for money to be spent on bringing back popular stars to get a pop from the fans.

"I was thinking about that, bro, I swear to God. As soon as she's done with this, that is the next big pop Triple H has in his back pocket. I wonder if Triple H has a separate bank account that's like just pop money. We're gonna put this away for pop money. Chris [Featherstone], without a shadow of a doubt, that's coming," Russo said.

It remains to be seen if Paige and WWE agree to a deal in the future, leading to her return to the Stamford-based promotion.
