Cena won the Intercontinental Championship on the November 3 edition of RAW. He defeated "Dirty" Dom in front of emotionally charged fans in Boston. With the win, Cena became a Grand Slam Champion in WWE. Since then, Mysterio has been trying to regain the IC Title.

During an interview with WWE India, Dominik Mysterio said that Cena had the home-field advantage when they met first time in Boston. He even accused Triple H of handing John a title shot. Dominik maintained that he was a fighting champion and put his title on the line. However, he felt this time during the rematch, he would have the home advantage in San Diego.

"I definitely am having my own field advantage this time, right? You know, last time we did it in Boston, he had Triple H on his side, giving him the match, didn't even work for it. I was a working champion; I defended it whenever. So I am fully prepared this time around for my match with John Cena. Like I said, it's in San Diego, PETCO Park, my hometown, my home turf, so I'm more than ready."

"Well, I don't really see him as much of a giant. If you guys see him as a giant, then consider myself David. And at the end of the day, it's not going to make a difference. You know, I'm fully prepared for John Cena. I want nothing but the best for San Diego, and I'm the best coming out of San Diego. So I don't want to get my hopes up."

It will be interesting to see whether the GOAT holds on to the gold or if the self-proclaimed Greatest Mysterio of All Time wins back the IC Title.
