A current champion was pinned on WWE RAW in what can only be described as a chaotic finish that is more than likely going to lead to a title shot, or at least get one step closer to it.The match between Kairi Sane and IYO SKY came in the aftermath of last week, when RAW ended with a completely different direction. Lash Legend and Nia Jax swooped in, and then Bayley and Lyra Valkyria followed. However, it was the Liv Morgan-led Judgment Day duo of Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez who ultimately made a massive statement by taking everyone out. While Perez handed one-half of the Tag Team Titles to Liv Morgan, the latter surprisingly handed it back, which was a statement of intent - they wouldn't be divided, and The Judgment Day was making a strong comeback. It was also a continuation of the tease from earlier in the night, where Liv Morgan confronted Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. So in that context, IYO SKY faced her fellow-Japanese star Kairi Sane, with Rhea Ripley by her side, to neutralize the threat of Asuka. This decision paid dividends as Asuka got involved and nearly cost IYO SKY. After Ripley took Asuka out and threw her over the time keeper's area, SKY hit the moonsault and pick up the win, getting a pinfall over one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions Kairi Sane.Another crucial match in this very same line was Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez. In effect, WWE seems to be attempting to narrow down the contenders in the tag team division on RAW and SmackDown after virtually every team made a statement. One can only assume that Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, the last champions before The Kabuki Warriors, will also somehow be in the mix following all the chaos.
