Current champion admits high-pressure situation before Nikki Bella's RAW return: "So many eyes wanted her to fail"

Nikki Bella is really back in WWE and gunning for the championship. She returned to the company at the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

After her return at the Rumble, Bella had her first singles match on the July 14 edition of RAW. She defeated Chelsea Green in the encounter. Since then, she has had a stellar feud with Becky Lynch over the Women's Intercontinental Championship. Nikki is currently in a program with Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Chelsea Green was a special guest on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez this week. The star spoke about the pressures of stepping into the ring with Nikki Bella during her first singles match back. She mentioned that Bella is one of the best to ever step into the ring, and there were high expectations for her return. Green revealed that she wanted to honor the Bella legacy with her performance.

The Women's United States Champion said she was honored to be picked as the one to do the job for the Hall of Famer.

"Someone and I think Nikki trusted me with her first singles match back. She is the epitome of women’s wrestling. She is the tippy-top. You don’t get any higher than Nikki Bella. I’m sorry. You just don’t. And so many eyes were on her. So many eyes wanted her to succeed. So many eyes wanted her to fail. And so I just wanted to do her justice and her legacy justice.
