Angel Garza has been heavily featured in AAA over the past few months, and it seems that even though he and his cousin Humberto Carrillo have lost their Tag Team Championships, he does have a reason to celebrate today.

It's been 17 years on November 4th since Garza made his wrestling debut. The former champion debuted on November 4th, 2008, after being trained by his grandfather Mario Segura. He used the name El Hijo del Ninja and wrestled as a masked star for several years.

The following year August 25, Garza won the 2009 Copa Arena Coliseo Monterrey and the FILL Light Heavyweight Championship not long after. Garza went on to join AAA Worldwide in 2015, one of Mexico's biggest promotions, under the name Garza Jr.

He then had a short stint in Impact in 2017/18 before joining WWE in 2019. It was when he joined WWE that he was first handed the name Angel Garza and became a sensation in NXT where he spent the next two years.

Angel Garza has been appearing on the main roster since 2021

Back in February 2021, Garza made his main roster debut on RAW alongside Zelina Vega. Garza has since been able to reunite with his cousin Humberto Carrillo, and the two men have won several titles together.

The duo were part of Legado Del Fantasma for a time alongside Santos Escobar, but in recent months, they have been going it alone as a tag team and have been one of the teams that WWE has pushed in AAA.

Santos Escobar has recently re-signed with WWE but hasn't been featured on TV for several weeks which has allowed the duo to continue to push as a tag team, with it remaining unclear whether or not Escobar will return to the company on the WWE SmackDown brand.
