Damian Priest has been stuck in a feud with Aleister Black over the past few months, but may finally have some backup in the form of Rhea Ripley. That being said, he does have another reason to celebrate today, since December 5th marks seven years since his WWE NXT debut. It was back in 2018 that he made his debut at an NXT taping under the name Punishment Martinez. This was the name Priest was known as throughout his Indy career, and it was then changed before his next appearance, and he was reintroduced as Priest in June 2019. He then went on to become North American Champion before being promoted to the main roster in 2021. Priest has since won the United States Championship and went on to win the World Championship when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 40. Damian Priest is a former member of The Judgment DayIt's interesting to note that Damian Priest was one of the original members of The Judgment Day along with Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and Edge. Priest has been out of the group now for more than a year, along with Rhea Ripley, and the two stars are now on opposite brands. Priest has recently developed an issue with Aleister Black, who has recruited his wife, Zelina Vega, to help him, but Priest has had no answer to this until recently, when he was seen backstage with his former partner. Ripley also dropped a hint that she may be happy to help her former Terror Twin, since she has defeated her in the past, in her home country of Puerto Rico. It will be interesting to see when Ripley steps up to help her former teammate and allows him to get one over on WWE's newest power couple, finally.
