Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are among the most popular performers on the roster. The American Nightmare recently made a shocking claim about his rivalry with The OTC.
Cody Rhodes recently welcomed Grammy-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet on his 'What Do You Wanna Talk About?' podcast. During their conversation about pro wrestling, Rhodes stated that at times the most authentic and personal stories help sell more tickets and earn a lot of money. He added that the viewers did not know how real wrestling could get.
"Sometimes the most authentic and personal stories make for great money, ticket selling, in terms of general revenue. People will never know how real wrestling is in different aspects than just what they see in the canon and the narrative, and that's the most beautiful thing," Rhodes said.
The 40-year-old then brought up his rivalry with Roman Reigns without mentioning The OTC's name. Rhodes shockingly stated that "it's as real as it could possibly get." However, he added that Reigns was probably his favorite opponent to work with.

"I hate using him [Roman Reigns] as an example, but my greatest rival in this company, I don't even have to say his name, it's as real as it could possibly get. You would like to be QB1, I would like to be QB1. It's every piece of it. But it's also, when we get in there, that's probably my favorite guy to make music with," Rhodes added. [H/T: WrestlePurists]

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns might wrestle each other soon
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes teamed up with The Usos and CM Punk in the recently concluded Men's WarGames Match. Unfortunately, the babyfaces suffered a massive loss at the premium live event.
Interestingly, Rhodes and Roman Reigns teased a potential face-off on multiple occasions during the build and especially after losing the match. According to Dave Meltzer, the two might lock horns against each other in a championship match. In a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the veteran wrestling journalist noted that the highly anticipated clash was in WWE's scheme of things going forward, but it might not happen at WrestleMania.
Only time will tell when the two stars will get in the ring to settle the score and wrestle one-on-one for the third time.
