On a recent WWE vlog on YouTube, Punk talked about following in the footsteps of John Cena and AJ Styles, who are retiring soon. Cena is set to wrestle his final match on December 13, while Styles has already announced his plans to hang up his boots next year.

Speaking on his Cheap Heat podcast, Peter Rosenberg has an idea on how to make CM Punk's possible final run memorable.

"I think if CM Punk's true moment ever comes, it should really be towards the end. I think that is the everlasting storyline of his final run, is he just can't get it. He can't get it. And when he eventually gets it, it's a true tearjerker, and he holds it for a few months towards the end. That is when I think the story for Punk," Rosenberg said.

Punk is scheduled to face "Main Event" Jey for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event on November 1. Peter Rosenberg also predicted a win for The Straightedge Superstar over The Yeet Master.

Scott D'Amore won't put World Heavyweight Championship on CM Punk

Former TNA Wrestling president Scott D'Amore shared how he'll book the World Heavyweight Championship match between CM Punk and Jey Uso in a column for Yahoo! Sports' Uncrowned. D'Amore would give the title to "Main Event" Jey and let Punk chase the championship.

"It would be a pale imitation of his emotional win over Gunther at SummerSlam. Even though WWE is scrambling to fill the Seth Rollins-sized hole, I think Punk should spend more time chasing the belt. There’s a bigger, more meaningful moment down the road," D'Amore wrote.

Punk and Jey are set to have a face-to-face to hype up their upcoming title match. They will meet inside the ring this Monday on RAW live at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
