Green is one of the most entertaining characters on the WWE roster. Her antics with authority figures Nick Alis and Adam Pearce are a prominent feature of the company's weekly programming. She is currently the Women's United States Champion and one-half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions with Ethan Page.

The SmackDown star was in an exclusive interview on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez this week. Green spoke about a "Diva Renaissance" of sorts in WWE. The 34-year-old detailed that she was embracing the label that was once used to diminish women's wrestling.

She pointed out that other stars like Kelly Kelly and Nikki Bella have stuck to the Divas tag and still had Hall of Fame-worthy careers in the business.

"When I first started wrestling, I was kind of poo-pooed for wanting to be a diva, and I realized, like, no, I’m going to embrace it. I got into this because I loved Kelly Kelly, who I think is the ultimate diva. I think Nikki Bella is a perfect example of, you know, she was the ultimate diva, and she also embraced being a WWE Superstar, period," Green said. (H/T: SEScoops)

Chelsea Green was on SmackDown this week

The Women's United States Champion showed up to the blue brand this week to celebrate her second stint with the title.

Green declared herself the greatest pro wrestler in the history of North America. She was getting ready to start the celebrations with some expensive pyro when the party was cut short by Jade Cargill.

The WWE Women's Champion walked down to the ring and decimated Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. Cargill then walked off, sending a strong message to the women's roster.
