Last year, Chelsea Green won the Women's United States Championship and became the inaugural champion in the company's history. Earlier this month, she captured the title for the second time on the blue brand, becoming the fourth person to win it and, at the same time, a double champion, as she also held the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship.

On the go-home edition of WWE SmackDown ahead of Survivor Series, The Hot Mess' celebration was interrupted by Jade Cargill as she hit Green with her finishing move. Later, the current Women's United States Champion called out The Storm for her in-ring actions.

The WWE Women's Champion replied to Green's comment, giving her a new name: Karen, as the current Women's United States Champion is always seen bickering and complaining to management.

WWE's Chelsea Green discusses her initial struggles

Chelsea Green had a long journey to the top and was once released from the Stamford-based promotion under the old regime before Triple H's creative regime gave her another opportunity on the main roster. However, her biggest struggle was to remain a diva in an era where women's wrestling had evolved.

In an interview on Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez, the current Women's United States Champion opened up about the struggles of embracing the Diva in her career, where women had moved past that a few years ago. She also addressed success stories from former Divas like Kelly Kelly and Nikki Bella.

"When I first started wrestling, I was kind of poo-pooed for wanting to be a diva, and I realized like, no, I’m going to embrace it. I got into this because I loved Kelly Kelly, who I think is the ultimate diva. I think Nikki Bella is a perfect example of, you know, she was the ultimate diva and she also embraced being a WWE superstar, period," Green said. [H/T- SEScoops]
