WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair recently made a shocking revelation about her recovery from her knee injury that put her out of action for over a year. She made her return earlier this year at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.
The 39-year-old recently spoke in an interview with Men's Health. During the conversation, Charlotte Flair opened up about her devastating injury. The veteran star stated that she was well on the road to recovery until the seventh month.
The SmackDown star noted that she stopped training due to pain in her knee. Flair added that she did not figure it out at the time, but it was her quad that was giving out and not her knee.
"Everything was great until when I got to 7 months," Flair said. "I just declined, and I think it was because I stopped training. I was so focused that the quad was hurting that when I was stepping up the stairs, I was like, 'Why is my knee giving?' But the quad is giving out, not the knee. 'So, what's going on?'"

The multi-time WWE Women's Champion added that the pain scared her, and she stopped training instead of working through it. Flair stated that it pushed her progress back by a month.
"So, I got so scared, and instead of continuing to train through it or do a little bit, I just stopped, and that was like super detrimental. So, I think it took me an extra month to get back to where I needed to be, which, I do agree with him, you can't just hyperfocus on that. And I was so focused on, like, 'Okay, I'm just going to give my quads a break,' which really made it worse," Flair added.
