Charlotte Flair has had an interesting year on WWE SmackDown, as for the first time in her career, she spent time in the company as a tag team wrestler alongside Alexa Bliss. While The Queen has previously won the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, she never formed a tag team.

Today, John Cena retires from in-ring competition in the Stamford-based promotion, and the 14-time WWE Women's Champion revealed her new name in the company. She called herself 'Big Char Char,' which is a straight-up homage to John Cena's popular nickname 'Big Match John' in the company. Moreover, she claimed that the 17-time world champion approved of the new name.

What's next for Charlotte Flair in WWE?

Earlier this year, Charlotte Flair made history as a female star in the Stamford-based promotion when she won the Royal Rumble match twice. However, The Queen failed to topple Tiffany Stratton and shifted her focus towards the women's tag team division.

After becoming friends with Alexa Bliss on Friday Night SmackDown, the two won the titles at SummerSlam in New Jersey. Unfortunately, Flair and Bliss lost the titles following a little over a 100-day mark as champions to Monday Night RAW's Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Regardless of their loss, they became targets on the blue brand and continued working in the women's division. Moreover, they collided with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY on the roster. It seems like the two will continue to go after the titles that they lost due to outside interference.

Also, it doesn't seem like the two will go their separate ways anytime soon, as the management is reportedly very happy with the depth in the women's tag team division. A split will most likely happen following WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
