Saturday Night's Main Event is going to be one of the most monumental events in the history of professional wrestling as it'll feature John Cena competing in his last wrestling match. According to some new reports, WWE might be planning some huge changes related to the production and presentation of the event.

Saturday Night's Main Event was brought back in December last year after nearly 16 years. The presentation of the event featured a retro style which paid homage to the event's original episodes from the 1980s. However, the Stamford-based company might be planning to make some changes to the presentation style soon to a more updated version. This could be done only for the upcoming special John Cena final match edition of the show.

It was reported on the Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select that indications had been made to update the show's presentation. It was also mentioned that the company has been discussing this change since August. However, it still hasn't been confirmed if this change will only be for the John Cena special edition of the show or stay for the other future editions. Although, the next January edition of the show set to air from Montreal is being advertised with the usual retro branding.

John Cena will face Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event

John Cena kicked off his retirement tour earlier this year at the Royal Rumble PLE. Throughout the year, he competed at all the Premium Live Events and had some of the most memorable matches of his career. However, his retirement tour will finally come to an end when he faces Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Gunther defeated LA Knight in the finals of the Last Time is Now Tournament to become Cena's last opponent for the show. A lot of fans were happy with this decision while some wanted Cena's final opponent to be someone he has history with. Regardless, the Cenation leader will have his final wrestling match in Washington DC at the weekend spectacle.

Fans are excited to see if John Cena can win his final WWE match on this Saturday.
