On SmackDown, they said what was next.

Michael Cole announced that, instead of Sheamus competing in the second-round match against LA Knight, another star would be competing and that the star was officially being replaced in the bout. As for who would replace him, that has not been revealed yet. That will only be revealed closer to the actual match, meaning that for the second time in a row, LA Knight will be heading into the tournament without knowing who he will face, while Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce decide as to that star's identity.

Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce have a big decision ahead of them

With the RAW and SmackDown General Managers choosing the next opponent for LA Knight in the tournament, they have a tough job ahead of them.

They have to decide whether to bring in a star who lost in the first round, a separate star from RAW or SmackDown or NXT, or even if it's another surprise return.
