A veteran wrestler has been involved in a serious car accident, following which he was quickly pulled from an upcoming show where he was scheduled to wrestle. Blue Demon Jr is now said to be recovering after the accident.

The 59-year-old wrestler has been a part of the business for close to three decades now, having debuted all the way back in 1996. The veteran star has taken his talents to companies like NWA, CMLL, AAA, and currently performs primarily for various indie promotions in the USA and his home country of Mexico.

A few hours back, it came to light that Blue Demon Jr. was involved in a serious car crash this Monday. The news was shared by the indie company, IWRG (International Wrestling Revolution Group), for which the masked star was slated to compete on October 30th for their World Heavyweight Championship. However, following the incident, Demon Jr. has now been pulled from the event.

Blue Demon Jr.'s family shared an update on the wrestler

While fans were concerned about the veteran wrestler's health, his family recently shared a reassuring update on his health via Instagram. It was noted that the wrestler was now out of danger and stable, though he remained in the Intensive Care Unit. The family also extended their gratitude to fans for their concern.

"The public and media are being informed that during the early hours of this Monday, Blue Demon Jr. suffered a car wreck. Fortunately, he is stable and out of danger, although in intensive care receiving the necessary medical attention and follow-up. We deeply appreciate the show of support and concern expressed, as well as respect for privacy during this recovery process. In the event of updates, it will be reported by these means or, at best, live from Blue Demon Jr. himself. Carefully, Blue Demon Jr. Family and Crew."
