Booker T feels a WWE star's time in NXT is over. The promotion's developmental brand has seen many talents graduate to the main roster and establish themselves as top names.

One such name touted for main roster success is former NXT champion Oba Femi. The 27-year-old has won over fans with his incredible agility and strength, while being booked firmly.

Last month, at NXT No Mercy, he dropped the brand's top championship to Ricky Saints, ending his reign at 263 days. While fans expected him to show up on the main roster soon, that hasn't been the case so far.

However, Hall of Famer Booker T has urged WWE to pull the trigger with Oba Femi and push him to the main roster. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, the former WWE World Champion said Femi has nothing else to do in NXT.

"I can tell you this. Oba has done a hell of a job in NXT. And if it's the time for him to move on, it's the right time. If he stays in NXT, what else is there for Oba Femi really to do? He’s dominated in NXT. He really has," he said.

The wrestling legend also said that he believes Oba Femi is ready to make an impact on the main roster and WWE should give him a chance.

"I think Oba can definitely make a big splash on the main roster right now… I agree that he's done everything he could possibly do in NXT. I think it’s time to pull the trigger. I really do," he added.

Oba Femi made his on-screen WWE debut on NXT Level Up in 2022. He won the 2023 Men's NXT Breakout Tournament and cashed the contract to defeat Dragon Lee for the NXT North American championship.

In January this year, he beat Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a Triple Threat Match to become the NXT champion.

Booker T apologized after controversial incident

Booker T was on commentary for NXT Halloween Havoc, which saw Ricky Saints defend the NXT championship against Trick Williams. The match ended with Saints retaining the title, leaving the Hall of Famer angry.

He was seen throwing his headset at the end of the match, frustrated by the result. During the Hall of Fame podcast, he apologized for his actions.

Booker T said he got a little upset since he was backing Trick and said everybody has their favorites.
