WWE SmackDown will go back to being three hours long after the year ends. Michael Cole announced the change during commentary on this week’s episode of the blue-branded show, and it will take effect on January 2, 2026. Interestingly, Cathy Kelley recently teased that she could do an hour-long feature on Fridays.A fan on X made a joke that the extra hour on SmackDown, starting January, will have one-hour special interviews of superstars conducted by Cathy Kelley. Responding to the tweet, the 37-year-old mockingly confirmed the user's claim.“how’d you know i asked the locker room for hour long sit down interviews today 👀”It should be noted that while Kelley went along with the tweet, her remark seems playful and should be taken with a grain of salt.Cathy Kelley faced a travel nightmare on her way to WWE RAWArriving at work for this week’s episode of WWE RAW became an exhausting and unfortunate affair for Cathy Kelley. On X, the interviewer described all the mishaps she faced while traveling and while lodging to reach the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She wrote that her flight got cancelled, and when she got rebooked, someone stole her checked luggage from the carousel. When she finally reached her hotel to get some rest, the staff told her they had already given her room to another customer, and another room wouldn’t be available by the time she would need to be present for WWE RAW.Despite this, the interviewer made it to the building, and the cameras didn’t show that anything was amiss till Kelley tweeted about it. Kelly will get busier after SmackDown starts airing for three hours, which means she will have more backstage segments to cover. We hope the fan favorite caught a break right after this series of mishaps.
