Bayley and Mercedes Moné have a very close relationship despite working for rival promotions WWE and AEW. The two have been great friends ever since their days in NXT and even on the main roster. The Role Model recently addressed her relationship with the TBS Champion in a recent interview.
The former SmackDown Women's Champion recently appeared on the Six Feet Under podcast with the Undertaker and Michelle McCool. During her appearance, she made a heartbreaking confession revealing she was disheartened after getting replaced by Becky Lynch at WrestleMania.
On the podcast, The Undertaker asked the Role Model if she thinks the new stars have the same passion about WWE as they had. The latter answered that the newer generation isn't as passionate about the sport as they were. She also revealed that her passion for wrestling helped her get so close to Mercedes Moné during their early days.
"So it's kind of like a different kind of passion... Sami Zayn says it perfectly like, we're the fans who took it too far, like we're the biggest fans that took it too far because we're actually doing it... This is one of the reasons why Mercedes and I got super close was because we were just like you know we can relate to it. Like "Oh my god you were a 10 year old and obsessed with wrestling". So I have those relationships with a few of the girls in the locker room. " (15:00 onwards)

Bayley was heartbroken after being replaced by Becky at WrestleMania
The Role Model was set to team up with Lyra Valkyria to face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at WrestleMania. However, she was attacked backstage and replaced by Becky as Lyra's partner. The duo then went on to win the Women's Tag Team titles at the show.
While speaking on the podcast, she confessed that she was disappointed when it happened but was happy it became part of a storyline.
"When I was told what was happening, I was like, 'Oh now I'm bummed....So, it was rough, but it becoming part of a storyline, and it becoming what it is now, made it a little bit nicer, and maybe it." Bayley said.
Bayley is still trying to chase after the Women's Tag Team titles. It'll be interesting to see if she'll be able to capture them with Lyra Valkyria.
