After plenty of speculation about his future, The Phenomenal One announced before his match against John Cena at Crown Jewel: Perth that he's going to retire in 2026. However, it remains unclear if he'll be having a farewell tour like Cena or when his last match is going to happen.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso's Undisputed on Substack, AJ Styles revealed that there's no current end date in mind. Styles also explained that the reason why he's retiring is that it has always been part of his plan. He is going to end his career the way he wanted to and by his own accord.
