WWE Superstars AJ Styles and Dragon Lee are defending their World Tag Team Championship every week on RAW. While the champs weren’t part of the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event card, they will now put their titles on the line at SNME against a WWE x TNA tag team.

WWE recently announced on its official website that it will give NXT’s Je’Von Evans and TNA’s Leon Slater a shot at the World Tag Team Championship. The Young OG and The Youngest In Charge are a relatively new team and have fought together only a few times.

Ahead of this, Je’Von Evans faced Oba Femi on this week’s episode of NXT for the NXT Championship. Had he dethroned The Ruler, he would’ve been on his way to face Cody Rhodes as SNME. However, the 2025 Iron Survivor will now head for another title match with Leon Slater by his side.

John Cena reveals why AJ Styles wants to retire

The pro wrestling world has its eyes on John Cena’s final match. At the same time, AJ Styles also plans to hang up his boots next year. Speaking on Chris Van Vliet’s INSIGHT podcast, The Never Seen 17 revealed that he once talked to AJ about his retirement.

Cena said that he asked The Phenomenal One if he would also like to do a farewell tour like him, stating that the fans would love to witness it. In response, the former two-time WWE Champion just said that he was 48. The Never Seen 17 said he didn’t need to say anything more, since he knew what the late 40s were like.

“He’s literally tying his shoes, he turns to me and says ‘Man, I’m 48,’ and as soon as the words left his mouth, he didn’t have to say anything else. It’s something about those late 40s, where he’s like ‘I’m already overstaying my physical welcome, they just don’t see it, because they don’t see what goes into prep, cooldown, recovery, I’m already riding that razor’s edge.’” [H/T Insight with Chris Van Vliet]

John Cena also said that AJ Styles doesn’t look like he can’t go on anymore, since he maintains his physique and is sharp in the ring. However, he highlighted that The Phenomenal One doesn’t want to give fans a watered-down version of himself and will thus hang up his boots.
