The WWE Survivor Series: WarGames PLE ended with a shocking finish as a mystery attacker stomped CM Punk and helped the Vision win. Analyst Sam Roberts recently stated that the mystery attacker could be none other than Chris Jericho.
On the NotSam Wrestling podcast, Roberts discussed how Jericho could be revealed as the mystery attacker. He said that since the attacker was wearing a hood, it doesn't technically have to be the same guy.
"The beauty of having a masked man is you don't even technically need to have it be the same guy that was used tonight. All you need is the guy to be there when it's time to unmask. Who's to say - if Chris Jericho ends up signing with WWE, is there a world where we stretch this out until Chris Jericho can unmask? I would say sure," Roberts said.
He added:
Brock Lesnar's retirement date leaked? Check the details!
"And that would be really exciting, if Chris Jericho unmasked and that's what you've got moving forward into 2026. That would be a lot of fun. Chris Jericho and CM Punk have history."
It will be interesting to see whether Chris Jericho actually makes his much-awaited WWE return as the mystery attacker.
CM Punk and Chris Jericho have a lot of history in WWE
The mystery attacker hit CM Punk with a super kick before planting him with a curb stomp. If the attacker is actually revealed to be Chris Jericho, it will reignite a decade-old rivalry in the promotion.
Punk and Jericho had one of the best feuds in the company in 2012. The Best in the World even defended his WWE Championship against Jericho at WrestleMania 28. The two men also had an iconic Chicago Street Fight at that year's Extreme Rules event.
It would be great to see Jericho and Punk feud with each other once again after so many years. However, that can only happen if Jericho actually signs with the Stamford-based promotion.
