Absent WWE star reveals why he challenged Brock Lesnar to a match at WrestleMania 42

Brock Lesnar's appearance in the WrestleMania 42 promotional video all but confirmed his potential match there next year. An absent WWE star has revealed why he wants to face The Beast on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Omos is currently one of the top stars not on television, though there have been no reasons given for his absence. He has represented the company in Japan and Mexico over the past two years, but his most recent televised match on the main roster was at the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The Nigerian Giant wrestled a few times at NXT live events last month, but there are no clear updates regarding his possible return to WWE TV. Speaking to MuscleMan Malcolm on YouTube, Omos revealed that he wants a rematch against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.

The 33-year-old star went on to explain why he wants to challenge The Beast again after losing to him at WrestleMania 39.

"I would say on the biggest stage of them all, and also because I need to get my leg back for my own personal worth, Brock owes me one. Brock Lesnar owes me one. We need to go out there and tear the house down. It's simple facts. The other one you got away because I wasn't experienced. Now, I traveled the world. I've been to Mexico, been to Japan, did NXT. Now, I have more experience and I've been studying very, very well. I have been preparing for that moment. So, when that moment comes, Brock, I hope you're ready," Omos said.

Sam Roberts wants to see Bron Breakker face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42

On a recent episode of the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts revealed that his preferred opponent for Bron Breakker at WrestleMania 32 was Brock Lesnar. He initially wanted Breakker to be John Cena's final opponent but pivoted since it's not on the cards anymore.

Roberts added Gunther as another possible opponent for The Beast at the biggest event of 2026.

"I'd prefer Bron Breakker to be the one that faces Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania because then you're building somebody else. And now, eventually, you've got a scenario where maybe you could do Gunther versus Lesnar," Roberts said. [H/T: TJR Wrestling]

Gunther was previously rumored to be facing Lesnar at WrestleMania 40 before The Beast's name was mentioned in the Janel Grant lawsuit.
