A 55-year-old star has returned to WWE. Fans have seen a lot of names from the past come back to the Stamford-based promotion in recent years, and another name has been added to the list.
In an interview with Bill Apter on APTER CHAT, former four-time WWE Cruiserweight champion Chavo Guerrero confirmed that he is back with the company.
Earlier this year, he was spotted during the WWE-AAA Worlds Collide event as one of the attendees, and it was reported that he had returned to the company. Now, Chavo has confirmed the news himself.
During the interview with Bill Apter, which was recorded toward the end of September, he revealed he had re-signed with the sports entertainment giant and even taken up a new role.

“Yeah, I just re-signed with WWE. So, I’m putting together, helping out with their AAA show. I’m back with them,” he said.

Chavo Guerrero first joined the company in 2001 and remained a key part of the promotion for a decade. During this time, he became a mainstay of the Cruiserweight division as well as winning the Tag Team Championship twice with his late uncle Eddie Guerrero. He also won the ECW Championship during this stint.
He left the company in 2011 and continued to wrestle on the independents. His recent re-signing also ends months of speculation around his future.

During the conversation, Chavo talked about how he is excited to see the Lucha Libre wrestling promotion come under WWE's banner.
Chavo said the TKO-owned promotion adding AAA under their umbrella was "pretty awesome." He said with the Stamford-based company's push and marketing, sky is the limit for AAA.
Chavo expressed hope that AAA will skyrocket and offer fans better wrestling in the coming days.
