A 31-year-old star has acknowledged Cody Rhodes as his QB1. The Undisputed WWE Champion has taken up the mantle of the promotion's biggest star and has nicknamed himself quarterback number one.This week on SmackDown, Rhodes was the focus once again during the match between Carmelo Hayes and Bronson Reed in The Last Time is Now Tournament. The Vision and The Usos interfered to cause chaos before The American Nightmare planted Reed with a Cross Rhodes outside the ring.He then sent Hayes into the ring as the referee counted out Reed to give Melo the win. Now, to show his appreciation for the assistance by Cody Rhodes, the 31-year-old former NXT Champion took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a message."My QB1 🫡," Hayes wrote.Previously, both Rhodes and Melo have shown respect for each other. Rhodes also trained with the SmackDown star before his big return at Royal Rumble in 2023. They faced each other twice, with the Undisputed WWE Champion coming out on top on both occasions.Cody Rhodes sent a warning to his rivals on SmackDownEarlier in the night, Drew McIntyre had brutally attacked Rhodes in his private bus. However, after helping Carmelo Hayes win, Cody Rhodes cut a stunning promo to send a warning to his rivals.Rhodes said he wasn't done with Drew McIntyre before claiming that Bronson Reed might be the biggest guy in their group, but he would be lying on his back soon. He then mentioned Bron Breakker, saying that historically, a Steiner has never been better than a Rhodes.The champion also reminded Brock Lesnar that he was the last guy to beat him, doing so twice. Rhodes also fired a warning to Paul Heyman, saying he builds the guys and he beats them. He ended the promo by saying the WarGames Match is his birthright.
