3-time WWE champion is the mystery attacker and could join The Vision soon, according to backstage personality 

The most compelling story in WWE right now is the mystery surrounding the identity of the masked attacker. Fans have been continuously speculating who could be behind the cowardly attacks, and now Sam Roberts has joined the bandwagon, suggesting that NXT's Trick Williams could be an interesting pick.

The mystery man looks like an ally of The Vision, as he first helped the stable win at Survivor Series 2025 and, on this week's RAW, took out their enemies, Rey Mysterio and LA Knight. WWE seems to be playing a long-term game here and looks in no rush to disclose the identity of the attacker anytime soon.

That said, fantasy booking has been rampant, and Sam Roberts has suggested some potential names who could be behind the mask. Speaking on his NotSam Wrestling podcast, the RAW Recap host said former NXT Champion Trick Williams could gel well with The Vision if he were unveiled as the mystery man.

"I think it would make sense if Trick would come in that way. I think he would kind of fit in with The Vision." said Sam Roberts (14:31 - 14:37)

Furthermore, Roberts added that The Vision themselves might be unaware that Williams was the attacker. He explained that this could allow WWE to narrate a story where the former 2-time NXT and one-time North American Champion has to prove his worth before joining the RAW stable.

The Trick thing is kind of fun because if it's revealed to be Trick Williams and even The Vision is surprised by it, then you can get to a place where Trick was doing this thing on his own, just to muscle his way, not only into the main roster, but at the top of the card. Like Trick was doing it almost as a way to impress The Vision," added Roberts (15:34 - 15:55)

Austin Theory and Montez Ford, among others, have also been rumored to join The Vision of late. Only time will tell when WWE pulls the trigger on revealing the attacker's identity.
