WWE has always kept the door open for superstars with whom they've mutually parted ways, be it a release or an exit from the company. Recently, the former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion, Bobby Fish, talked about a possible return.

Bobby Fish ruled the tag team division on the developmental brand alongside Kyle O'Reilly and was one of the founding members of The Undisputed Era. However, he was released in 2021 and didn't return to the promotion when Triple H's regime came into play.

In an interview on TMZ's Inside The Ring, the hosts asked the former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion about a potential return to the company. The 49-year-old veteran stated that he enjoyed his time with the company and is not closed off to returning for another run.

"I'm not. I can't speak for them. I'm not closed off to it. I enjoyed my time there. They are who they are, and at the end of the day, I'm still a pro wrestler," Fish said.

Bobby Fish has won titles in WWE

Bobby Fish was a veteran of the industry with his work on the independent circuit and in Japan before he signed with the Stamford-based promotion. In 2017, he became a regular on the developmental brand when he paired up with Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole as the trio created The Undisputed Era under Triple H's creative leadership.

Fish and O'Reilly later dominated the tag team division and captured the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship. After Fish got injured, the faction activated the freebird rule and continued the reign for a few more months, with Adam Cole and Roderick Strong participating in title matches.

In 2019, Fish and O'Reilly captured the titles for a second time as a team in The Undisputed Era, only to lose them in 2020 to Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne. After the faction ended in 2021, the 49-year-old ex-WWE veteran had his last match in July before he was released in August.
