John Cena will make his final WWE Premium Live Event appearance at Survivor Series: WarGames. The new Intercontinental Champion was interrupted by the former champion, Dominik Mysterio, on the latest episode of RAW, which was Cena's last appearance on the red brand show as an in-ring competitor.

Mysterio demanded a rematch for the IC Title at the upcoming PLE, which is set to take place in his hometown. Cena granted him the title shot, as the bout has been made official for November 29. While another match with Dominik is intriguing, fans were hoping to see Cena compete in the Men's WarGames Match.

That said, it could still happen. In a shocking turn of events, John Cena could replace Roman Reigns in Team CM Punk and battle Team Vision inside WarGames. The OTC returned on the latest episode of RAW, neutralizing Brock Lesnar and seemingly joining the babyface team.

However, Reigns is far from being on the same page with any member of Team CM Punk. The six-time World Champion has made it clear that he doesn't trust The Second City Saint. His cousins, The Usos, inadvertently cost him the match against Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel, affecting their relationship.

Cody Rhodes is Reigns' bitter rival and the one who ended his historic 1,316-day reign. Given the issues the OTC has with all the members of Team CM Punk, he could back out of the bout at the last minute, leaving his teammates high and dry.

To fill the void, John Cena could step up and join the babyfaces for the WarGames Match, pulling double duty in his last premium live event appearance. That said, this is just speculation for now.

John Cena has unfinished business with Team Vision

The reason why John Cena should be on the babyface team to fight Team Vision is that he has unfinished business with its members. Brock Lesnar faced The GOAT at Wrestlepalooza, where The Beast Incarnate squashed Cena.

Given the one-sided nature of the bout, many believed The Last Real Champion needed to redeem the loss against Lesnar to conclude their feud. Moreover, Cena had a brief encounter with The Vision at Night of Champions, something that hasn't been revisited since.

The Franchise Player joining Team CM Punk would allow him to close out multiple chapters before retiring. It remains to be seen what the Triple H-led creative team has in store for Survivor Series: WarGames.
