Gunther silenced an arena of nearly 20,000 people last weekend when he made John Cena tap out in his final match at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. The Ring General opened this week's episode of Monday Night RAW, gloating over his dominant victory over the GOAT.

When the former Imperium leader arrived backstage after his disrespectful promo, he ran into several of his peers and the RAW general manager, Adam Pearce, who had an issue with Gunther's behavior. Pearce told The Ring General that he was done for the night and ordered him to leave the arena.

That said, it's unlikely that the former World Heavyweight Champion is going to change his behavior any time soon. If Adam Pearce wants to keep The Ring General in check, he may have to call Jey Uso.

While the Austrian star is bragging about making John Cena tap out, he also did the same thing against Main Event Jey earlier this year. At WrestleMania 41, The YEET Master defeated The Ring General for the World Heavyweight Championship by submitting him with a sleeper hold.

Although Gunther avenged this loss by regaining the world title from Jey Uso in June, it still haunts him to this day. The WWE Universe never shies away from reminding the heel star that he tapped out. Therefore, if Adam Pearce wants to humble The Ring General, he must remind him of his shortcomings by calling Jey Uso.

While Jey has returned to the tag team division with his brother, he could simultaneously enter into a brief program with his archenemy, Gunther. That said, nothing has been confirmed as of now. It remains to be seen what's next for the former Imperium leader in WWE.

Gunther reveals he has backstage heat in WWE after defeating John Cena

In an interview with TMZ's Inside The Ring, Gunther revealed that he has backstage heat in WWE following his win over John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event XLII. The 38-year-old mentioned that many within the company were not happy with how he made Cena tap out.

However, it didn't bother the Austrian star at all. Here's what the former World Heavyweight Champion had to say:

"I know a lot of people were not happy with what happened on Saturday and how it happened. I know a lot of people in the company were not happy with that, but that is fine. If anyone has got an issue with that, I think I am very easy to find."

The Ring General has become the most hated man in wrestling after retiring The Cenation Leader. It will be interesting to see what the Austrian star does next in the global juggernaut.
