7 WWE stars who desperately need to switch brands in 2026

Without a draft in 2025, WWE desperately needs to reshuffle all three of its major brands. NXT has many performers just sitting around doing nothing. Promoting them could bolster either RAW or SmackDown while also opening up spots in NXT.

Several stars on the red brand have faced each other so much that any potential feuds in 2026 will be repetitive. Cody Rhodes has exhausted his feuds on SmackDown due to constantly being the Undisputed Champion.

With the blue brand returning to the three-hour format, roster movement will be vital to kick off 2026. The next seven WWE stars desperately need to switch brands next year.

Why Orton didn't show up for Cena's match - Check details!

#7. NXT has misused Lexis King

Lexis King is one of the few stars in NXT who can wrestle and cut good promos. Despite those facts, he routinely put opponents like Myles Borne and Je'Von Evans over. His versatility has seen him used more in TNA lately than in NXT.

He's ready for WWE's main roster and could help out a current act that just lost one of its members to injury.

With JD McDonagh out for the foreseeable future, King could become the newest member of the Judgment Day. The group has always featured turnover, and he'd fit the arrogant and brash style of the faction.

#6. The Motor City Machine Guns target new teams on RAW

Most of the top tag teams on SmackDown have captured the WWE Tag Team titles. The Street Profits, Wyatt Sicks, DIY, and Motor City Machine Guns have won gold. The MFTs are next in line.

Fraxiom is a newer addition, while Pretty Deadly cannot stay healthy. RAW's tag team division needs some new teams, which is why the Usos reformed, and AJ Styles and Dragon Lee won the World Tag Team titles.

WWE shifting one of the talented teams from the blue brand to the red brand would help both divisions.

#5. Giulia goes to RAW

You may have blinked, but Giulia actually won the Women's United States Championship in 2025. Due to terrible booking and using other non-champions on programming instead of her, her run was unfortunately forgettable.

The Beautiful Madness is a top talent, but doesn't get the spotlight that others do. Moving to RAW would give her a fresh start and some different feuds.

Her potential shift would also allow movement to SmackDown to freshen things up on both sides.

#4. Zaria & #3. Jaida Parker move to WWE's main roster

NXT and WWE officials constantly boast about NXT having the best women's division in wrestling. They're correct, but it's a double-edged sword. With so many talented women, several get lost in the shuffle.

It also doesn't help when the same four or five women are constantly pushed. Zaria should be a champion already, but she's cannon fodder for Sol Ruca. She lost the Women's North American title for Sol and couldn't win back the Speed title.

She desperately needs to get away from Ruca. Jaida Parker is one of NXT's most popular stars, but hasn't been used lately. Moving her up to RAW would give her something different to do. Zaria could be a rabid powerhouse on SmackDown.

#2. Lyra Valkyria soars over to SmackDown

The issues in SmackDown's women's division are pretty evident. WWE bookers are holding off for a face like Flair or Bianca Belair to face Cargill at a major PLE. That's led to her doing nothing since winning the title.

The Women's US title is routinely an afterthought. Moving Lyra Valkyria to SmackDown gives the division a mat technician and former champion.

She could challenge either current titleholder and establish herself again as a future World Champion. RAW is chock full of faces like Ripley, SKY, Vaquer, Bayley, Dupri, and potentially, Liv Morgan. That's a hard list to crack.

#1. Gunther tries to conquer SmackDown

Gunther has ruled over RAW at various points of his main-roster tenure. He's won the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Championships, won King of the Ring, and retired Goldberg and John Cena.

As a top heel on the red brand, he's battled CM Punk, Jey Uso, and many of the faces. Outside of a feud with LA Knight, there isn't much else to do on RAW.

Moving to SmackDown would allow The Ring General to get revenge on Cody Rhodes or face the Wyatt Sicks. He could help elevate Carmelo Hayes or clash with Rey Fenix. Officials also must renew his NXT feud with Ilja Dragunov.
