#5. DarkState's debut at NXT Vengeance Day

Dion Lennox made his return at NXT Vengeance Day on February 15, leading a mystery heel faction that included Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin. On the faction's debut, it attacked several wrestlers: Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura, the NXT Tag Team Champions, Nathan Frazer and Axiom, as well as NXT Champion Oba Femi, after their respective matches.

The villainous stable made their second appearance at NXT: Roadblock on March 11, attacking Je'Von Evans after his match. The following week, the group's name was officially revealed as DarkState, with Lennox confirmed as their leader.

#4. Lainey Reid

Jazmyn Nyx was found attacked backstage on the September 23 episode of NXT. This resulted in her being expelled from Fatal Influence after she was abandoned by her stablemates, Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley. The following day, Nyx revealed that she was leaving WWE after her contract expired, choosing not to sign a new deal with the company.

At NXT No Mercy on September 27, Jayne retained the NXT Women's Championship against Lola Vice, thanks to a hooded figure, who was later revealed to be Lainey Reid. She was originally listed as one of the injured competitors and did not compete in her match against Sol Ruca for the Women's Speed Championship at the event.

While fans were still processing the shocking reveal, Reid also admitted that she was the one who attacked Nyx, claiming that the latter was a dead weight to Fatal Influence. The 27-year-old officially joined the faction on the October 14 episode of NXT.

#3. Bayley's attacker before WrestleMania

Bayley was supposed to team up with Lyra Valkyria against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at WrestleMania 41 for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. However, she was taken out backstage by a mysterious attacker before the match. As a result, Becky Lynch stepped in and took her place in the bout. She and Lyra then came out victorious, winning the Women's Tag Team Title.
