Besides this, the show featured the return of Zack Ryder to the company as he was part of the Last Time is Now Tournament. In this article, we will discuss five things WWE subtly told us on SmackDown this week.

#5. Zack Ryder isn't back full-time

Zack Ryder's return to the blue brand was an exciting moment. The 40-year-old star delivered a classic performance against LA Knight but eventually suffered the loss.

After the show, Triple H also posted a picture with Zack on his official X account and shared how Ryder took the opportunity to be part of the Last Time is Now tournament. All of this subtly confirms that Ryder's return to SmackDown isn't full-time, and he likely appeared only for John Cena's tournament.

Now, he might return in the near future in the Men's Royal Rumble match or at any special event before WWE re-hires him as a full-time talent.

#4. Carmelo Hayes isn't done with The Miz

Carmelo Hayes is part of the The Last Time is Now tournament. During a backstage promo, the star talked about his participation as Cena's potential final opponent, but before that, he sent a message to The Miz and clarified that he isn't done with him yet.

The words of the former NXT Champion subtly confirm that the rivalry between The Miz and Melo is far from over.

#3. WWE is holding off The Wyatt Sicks vs. The MFT

In the latest episode of the Friday Night Show, WWE continued dropping hints for a massive Wyatt Sicks vs. The MFT feud. Even this time, Uncle Howdy was spotted backstage, where he was spying on Solo Sikoa.

The logo of The Wyatt Sicks and glitches also appeared during Solo's backstage conversation with Nick Aldis. This confirms that WWE still has plans for a massive faction war between these two, but they are holding off on things and generating more buzz for the showdown.

#2. Charlotte Flair walking out on her teammates could be a swerve

Despite Alexa Bliss joining forces with Team Rhea Ripley for WarGames, Charlotte Flair refused to be part of it. The Queen stated that she dislikes The Eradicator and is not interested in participating in the upcoming match.

However, Flair walking out on her teammates could be a swerve, done only to make things more intriguing. She will eventually rejoin the group and will compete from the babyface side in the double-structured match.

#1. Drew McIntyre isn't taking time off despite reports

Ad

Earlier reports indicated that McIntyre was suspended on SmackDown due to Hollywood commitments, but his return to the show subtly suggests that he isn't taking time off. McIntyre joining forces with The Vision confirms his participation in the Men's WarGames match.

With the suspension angle, there was a high possibility that Drew could miss Survivor Series, but his return on WWE SmackDown debunks all the speculation.
