WWE RAW features one of the best women's divisions in pro wrestling, but the same cannot be said for SmackDown. The blue brand has been in decline in 2025, with ratings and fan opinion signalling a downfall. One of the biggest reasons behind the lack of engaging storylines on the blue brand is an absence of star power. While RAW is stacked with stars like Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, Nikki Bella, Bayley, and Becky Lynch, SmackDown is falling behind.Jade Cargill is the reigning Women's Champion, while Chelsea Green recently dethroned Giulia to win the Women's United States Championship. After last week, it seems like the two champions will feud with one another in the near future. Unfortunately, there aren't any major stars for both Green and Cargill to feud with, which could have led to the creative team pitting them against one another. On that note, here are four WWE Superstars who could save the SmackDown women's division by having a prominent storyline.4. Tiffany StrattonCargill dethroned Tiffany Stratton at Saturday Night's Main Event last month to win the WWE Women's Championship in dominant fashion. Stratton has been off television since the defeat, but will likely revisit her feud with Cargill upon her return, which can't come soon enough. The Buff Barbie held the WWE Women's Title for almost all of 2025 after cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax, and had a strong run with the gold. As a result, a rematch between her and Cargill seems just a matter of time.3 & 2. Charlotte Flair and Alexa BlissCharlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss are by far the biggest stars on SmackDown, but are currently involved in the Women's Tag Team Title feud. The veterans lost their titles to the Kabuki Warriors on RAW and will likely continue their feud on the red brand. However, SmackDown could benefit significantly if the two return to being singles stars and challenge for any of the titles on the blue brand. Regardless of the outcome, it would make for a compelling storyline that would at least get the fans interested in watching the show.1. Bianca BelairThe EST has been away from programming since injuring her fingers at WrestleMania 41. Belair briefly returned to be the special guest referee for the match between her former tag team partners, Naomi and Jade Cargill, at Evolution 2025. However, she did not return to in-ring action, and her absence has been strongly felt.Belair could return, and immediately feud with Cargill for the WWE Women's Title, and the story would write itself. The two were former tag team champions, but their alliance dissolved after Cargill was attacked backstage by Naomi last November. After a thorough program with the former Women's World Champion, it makes sense for Cargill to want to prove her dominance by defeating Bianca Belair as well. While WWE could be saving her return for the Royal Rumble, SmackDown's women's division needs a shot in the arm to regain its credibility. And with a storyline between Belair and Cargill ready to dive into, the EST's return should happen as fast as possible.
