WWE is set to host the annual Survivor Series: WarGames this weekend. The event will take place at Petco Park in San Diego, California. Four matches have been confirmed thus far, including two title bouts.

While the card looks good on paper, several underlying issues are likely to affect the show on Saturday. In this listicle, we will look at four signs WWE Survivor Series: WarGames is bound to flop.

#4. John Cena not involved in the Men's WarGames Match

John Cena will defend the Intercontinental Championship against the former champion, Dominik Mysterio, at Survivor Series. While a rematch against "Dirty" Dom is not a bad idea, Cena should have competed in the Men's WarGames Match, something he hasn't done in his career.

The Franchise Player could have checked one more box in his illustrious career before retiring by competing inside the steel structure this weekend. It would have also allowed him to conclude his rivalry with Brock Lesnar on a high note, something fans were hoping to see, given their one-sided encounter at Wrestlepalooza.

Not having Cena compete in the Men's WarGames Match is a missed opportunity.

#3. WWE Survivor Series: WarGames has a four-match card

Unless the go-home episode of SmackDown adds any matches, Survivor Series: WarGames will only feature four bouts. WWE has adopted smaller cards for events under Triple H's leadership.

However, Survivor Series is one of WWE's "Big Four" events of the year alongside WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble. Having only four matches on the card is likely to diminish the importance of the annual show. While the WarGames Matches take up a lot of time, the creative team could have added another bout.

#2. The Women's WarGames Match could stop a rising star's momentum

The Women's WarGames will see Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and AJ Lee battle Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Becky Lynch, and The Kabuki Warriors inside the steel structure.

While both teams look formidable, the match could risk stopping Lash Legend's momentum. The Boujee Bully officially moved to the main roster earlier this month and has had a promising start on WWE SmackDown.

If the heel team loses this Saturday, it could affect Lash's credibility, as this is her first major match as part of the main roster.

#1. The Men's WarGames Match is a lose-lose situation

Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos are set to collide with Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar in the Men's WarGames Match. While the match is star-studded, with two formidable teams clashing, it does no favors to anyone.

If the heels lose this Saturday, it means Drew McIntyre suffers another major defeat, and The Vision's momentum following the betrayal of Seth Rollins takes a hit.

Meanwhile, if the babyfaces are defeated, both world champions will take a loss, diminishing their credibility. Given the talent involved, the match is sure to be spectacular. However, the creative team may have put itself in a corner with this, as no team can afford to lose.
