Despite how WWE has written the angles leading up to WarGames on the main roster, the face teams have traditionally had more success.

The OG Bloodline defeating the heroic Brawling Brutes squad in 2022 was the only time a villainous team claimed victory inside WarGames.

This year's teams are a bit lopsided. Team Punk consists of CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, who both hold the major titles of their respective brands, and Roman Reigns. Jey Uso won the World Heavyweight Title this year.

Team Vision's two biggest guns, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar, haven't had significant title runs in a few years. Despite the likelihood of Team Punk winning, the next four signs indicate that Team Vision will win WarGames this year.

#4. The Brock Lesnar factor

Brock Lesnar doesn't come back for table scraps. He battled Cody Rhodes a few times before his last contract ended. Rhodes mentioned that fact on SmackDown, reminding The Beast that he fell short in their clashes.

The former Universal Champion has to be hungry for revenge and gold. He throttled John Cean at Wrestlepalooza, reminding everyone that he is still one of the most dangerous men in wrestling.

Lesnar is a physical anomaly, even surpassing Roman Reigns. He could tip the tides for Team Vision, which doesn't have a monster like him.

#3. Jey Uso has teased a heel turn

Despite being one of the most popular stars today, Jey Uso has also displayed some heelish tendencies over the last few months. Most of it stems from losing the World Heavyweight Title.

He tends to value Reigns' advice more than Jimmy's, but he reconciled with his twin. The Yeet Master has also had major issues with both Punk (at one point) and LA Knight.

Jey could complete the shocking heel turn. It would give WarGames a massive talking point, rather than the good guys simply overcoming the bad guys. That's what's happened over the last two years.

#2. The Vision is on the same page ahead of WarGames

Roman Reigns thinks he is solely responsible for the success The Bloodline had, but he's wrong. It wasn't until he aligned with Paul Heyman that he had the most successful run of his career.

Jey Uso also claims Heyman had nothing to do with The Bloodline's success, and he's also wrong. The Wiseman is simply an advantage Team Punk doesn't have, mainly due to betrayals and pride.

Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed are on the same page, and Lesnar seems glad to be back with Heyman. Drew McIntyre despises everyone on Team Punk. Their collective vision and hatred could be hard to overcome at WarGames.

#1. Massive tension between Roman Reigns and CM Punk

Bookers always love to have adversity between two faces so that they can overcome it inside WarGames. It's what happened last year when Punk backed up The Bloodline against Solo Sikoa's team.

The Best in the World and Reigns are on the same side again this year, but things have changed. The Tribal Chief lost a match to Reed, while Punk won the World Heavyweight Title. Reigns expects everyone to bow to him.

Punk marches to the beat of his own drum. The tension will hopefully lead to something big, rather than Team Punk simply working together to overcome Team Vision this year. That would be the same rehashed finish from last year.

Triple H needs to do something drastically different to give The Vision more traction as the faction to fear. If they lose again, it'll be close to becoming another failed experiment due to the unwillingness to book the super faces to lose.
