WWE Survivor Series: WarGames ended on a high note. For the first time in WWE, the heel side won the WarGames match. The Vision, under the leadership of Brock Lesnar, defeated Cody Rhodes and CM Punk's babyface side. Although the win came with outside help from a mysterious creature, it was still a victory at the end of the night.
Similarly, Liv Morgan made an emphatic return at the event, eventually helping Dominik Mysterio beat John Cena to win back the Intercontinental Championship. Stephanie Vaquer also retained her Women's World Championship against Nikki Bella. Rhea Ripley's team also defeated Becky Lynch's heel side in the opening WarGames match at the event.
It was a decent WWE PLE, but it also left a few questions to be answered. In this listicle, we will discuss 4 burning questions after Survivor Series: WarGames.
#4 Has WWE given up on Nikki Bella?
Nikki Bella lost the WWE Women's World Championship match to Stephanie Vaquer. This might have also been Nikki's last chance to compete for the Women's title in WWE. When she turned heel and challenged Stephanie to a match at Survivor Series, it appeared that maybe the company had some plans for her.
Brock Lesnar's retirement date leaked? Check the details!
However, the loss at Survivor Series has seemingly put a full stop to all those plans. This leads to the question of whether WWE has really given up on Nikki Bella? The two-time Divas Champion returned to the company earlier this year at the Royal Rumble. It was rumoured that she may sign off at WrestleMania 41. However, surprisingly, Nikki didn't feature in any match at WrestleMania.
When she returned on Monday Night RAW in June, kicking off a feud with Liv Morgan, it appeared that maybe WWE had plans of putting the two in a compelling storyline. However, Liv Morgan's shoulder injury seemingly curtailed those plans.
And when she turned heel, it was expected that the company would book her as the champion at Survivor Series, and then let her hold the gold for the next few months before finally losing it at WrestleMania 42. However, with this loss, it appears that the management is in no mood to push Nikki, and her future with the Stamford-based promotion might have reached its end.
#3 Is Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes not happening anytime soon?
Randy Orton was rumoured to make a return at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames and attack Cody Rhodes, thus allowing The Vision to win the match. It was anticipated that the company would take this loss and book Orton against Cody Rhodes in a bitter feud. However, Orton was nowhere to be seen. The last time he was seen was in a tag team match with Cody Rhodes on WWE SmackDown in October against The Vision. After losing that match, the Viper has been absent.
In fact, the fans have long been asking for a feud between the two legends, as Cody Rhodes has a long history with Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes was once a protege of Orton when he started his journey in 2008. Orton was a heel then, and he had Cody under his wings.
The equation, however, changed by 2024. Cody became the Undisputed WWE Champion, while Orton remained on the sidelines. Orton even told Cody once during a segment that he would be going after that title to win his 15th WWE Championship. But, with Orton not being around at Survivor Series, it seems that the company has given up its plans for this feud.
#3 Who is the mystery assailant?
CM Punk was shocked to see a masked man climbing the top of the cage, attacking him and then escaping. While the attacker had mimicked Seth Rollins' finisher, it was clear that it wasn't Rollins, as The Visionary is out with a shoulder injury, and he could have in no way been able to climb that ladder.
The fans on the internet have been enquiring who this mystery attacker is. Apart from Seth Rollins, there ain't any other superstar who has such a bitter real-life animosity with CM Punk. Who could it have been? Was the man sent by Paul Heyman to give the heel side an outside edge? Was it Austin Theory, the 28-year-old superstar, who was rumoured to join The Vision? Or was it some superstar from the NXT, being hired by Paul Heyman as the newest member of The Vision? We'll get the answers soon.
#1 Is Roxanne Perez-Dominik Mysterio's saga over?
When Roxanne Perez joined The Judgment Day, Liv Morgan was miffed. She scoffed at the sudden inclusion of the former WWE NXT Women's Champion in the stable. She knew that the Prodigy would try to influence her relationship with Dominik Mysterio. Her apprehensions came true. When Morgan was out of action after her injury, Roxanne's closeness with Dominik grew.
However, Liv Morgan is once again back in WWE, and her a segment with Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series, emphasising that the two were inseparable.
This leads to a question: Is Dominik's saga with Roxanne Perez over? It seems that the company has no further plans to take forward Dominik's storyline with Roxanne. In fact, in the past few weeks, we haven't seen their segments during RAW. This simply means that maybe the fans were hooked with the Dominik-Liv Morgan love storyline, and the company will also push that now. The rest, we will find out on this week's episode of Monday Night RAW.
