This year will host the 39th edition of the WWE Survivor Series Premium Live Event. This year's card is stacked with four major bouts, two traditional WarGames bout, one for the men and another for the women, and two championship matches, one featuring the Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer defending her title against heel Nikki Bella.
Moreover, John Cena will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dominik Mysterio in a rematch. That said, as always, even this edition of Survivor Series will be a blockbuster.
But sometimes the company stumbles. In this article, we will look at the four biggest mistakes in Survivor Series' history:
#4. Montreal Screwjob
In 1997 at Survivor Series in Montreal, Bret Hart faced Shawn Michaels with the Championship on the line, and the Hitman, on his way out of the company, refused to drop the title to HBK in his hometown.

This led Vince McMahon to pull one of the biggest on-screen betrayals, where Bret knew he was going to retain, but the referee rang the bell as soon as HBK put Hart in the Sharpshooter. This made The Hitman mad, and he spat on the boss's face, then punched him backstage.
This drew massive hostility for McMahon, which eventually led to a heel on-screen gimmick, but to this day, it is regarded as one of the company's biggest blunders.
#3. Brock Lesnar loses to Big Show
At WWE Survivor Series 2002, the Beast Incarnate faced the Big Show; the entire storyline was focused on Paul Heyman betraying the Next Big Thing and teaming up with the 7-foot superstar.
The Giant shockingly defeated Lesnar under four minutes, capturing a historic win and ending Brock's undefeated streak. Putting a vet like Big Show over up-icomer was a fumble, and the Beast should have won.
#2. Sheamus stealing the WWE show
At Survivor Series 2015, the Shield brothers, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, locked horns for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship.
The Big Dog beat Ambrose and captured the title. However, the Celtic Warrior, then-Mr. Money in the Bank, cashed in his contract and won the title instead, stealing Reigns's perfect run.
#1. Golden Egg
In 2021, at Survivor Series, Vince McMahon presented a Golden Egg from Red Notice as part of the storyline. The Egg later went missing, and McMahon told officials to find it.
Featuring a Netflix promotion at WWE Survivor Series was just filler, and another segment could have been used to further the ongoing storyline or to groom other storylines.
