Drew McIntyre literally ruined the match between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and NXT Champion Oba Femi at Saturday Night's Main Event (SNME). Despite being suspended, McIntyre came out and attacked Cody Rhodes, leading the match referee to end the match in a DQ. As a result, McIntyre could face the music for ruining John Cena's retirement show.

John Cena wanted this show for the NXT superstars, who are the future of WWE. He had himself requested a theme of WWE main roster stars vs NXT talent for his last show. Appearing on the pre-show ahead of the SNME, Triple H, had said Cena wanted to leave this place in a better position than he found it in.

As McIntyre spoiled the first match of the night with his actions, he could face consequences for doing so. Here are 3 consequences the Scottish Warrior can face for causing intervention in Cody Rhodes and Oba Femi's match.

#3 Nick Aldis doesn't lift Drew McIntyre's suspension

The first thing SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis, could do is not lift his suspension. McIntyre was suspended by Aldis two weeks before Survivor Series: WarGames. Somehow, Paul Heyman had brought him back as part of Team Vision for the WarGames match.

However, Aldis didn't lift the suspension. McIntyre showed up on SmackDown after Survivor Series, but Aldis ordered him to leave the arena. Cody Rhodes had a confrontation with McIntyre and later asked Aldis to lift his suspension so that the two could face each other in a match. However, Aldis didn't relent. This week on SmackDown, Aldis said that he wants to bring back McIntyre, but he didn't return his calls.

However, Nick Aldis has another reason to keep the ban on McIntyre. The former WWE Champion might stay suspended for the next few weeks, unless the top management decides something for him.

#2 Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre in a two-on-one handicap match

Another consequence could be Drew McIntyre facing Oba Femi and Cody Rhodes in a two-on-one handicap match. This is possible because both Oba and Cody went after Drew McIntyre for ruining their match.

While Cody gave a Cody Cutter, Oba Femi delivered a Chokeslam to McIntyre. Later, Cody lifted Oba's hands in a massive show of respect for the current NXT Champion.

This week on SmackDown, Nick Aldis can temporarily lift the suspension from McIntyre and pit him against Cody and Oba Femi.

#1 Drew McIntyre never gets a WWE World title shot again

Nick Aldis can take further action against Drew McIntyre for ruining Cody's match at WWE SNME. He can make a decision that Drew will never get a title shot at Cody Rhodes.

McIntyre has already faced Cody twice in a title match. In both matches, he lost to Cody. There's also no other reason for him to go after Cody's Undisputed WWE Championship.

Instead, McIntyre could now be booked against Oba Femi, as the NXT Champion might be on his way to a main roster debut. The Nigerian Giant can soon drop the gold and make his debut on SmackDown to go against McIntyre.

It now remains to be seen how WWE books Drew McIntyre on SmackDown.
